White collection

The first stage in the design development process took place with generation of motifs derived from the inspiration sources. This was followed by the process of surface embellishment that includes surface exploration of fabric through various techniques like printing, embroidery, embossing, pleating etc.
This is the entire journey from the making of toiles, the testing, making changes as per required. It was more of a series of silhouette explorations and experimentation.
The later stages of silhouette exploration.
The top of Couture garment for women was an adaptation of Indian 'salwar'. The bottom fit and flare skirt incorporated 'Kalis' that is 'Gores' for better fall and volume. The surface of the garment has chain stitch embroidery all over the sleeves and skirt representing veins on the surface of the lotus leaf.
The men Couture garment was a three piece garment with the Waist Coat having dramatic lotus leaf life structure stiched along the princess line. Kurta was kept shorter than usual to give it a contemporary look with similar vein embroidery on it's sleeve. The bottom were wide pants incorporating 'Kalis' that is 'Gores'(trapezoid shaped).
Women Ready to Wear was a Dungaree with godets inserted along the side seam.
